Biography
Neus Ledesma Vidal (Barcelona, 1989*) works as a freelance performer and choreographer in Bremen (north Germany). She creates work through interdisciplinary collaborations and seeks for new dynamics and tandems within the local scene. She is interested in the body as a storyteller and a catalyst for critical thinking. She explores new movement narratives through the lens of other media such as text, images, sound or memories and experiments with the space and distance between the performance and the audience.
She studied at London Contemporary Dance School (BA Arts 2007-10) and finished an Arts Management Postgraduate in 2013 (Universitat Pompeu Fabra). Since 2017 lives in Bremen where she makes her own work and collaborates regularly with Birgit Freitag, Magali Sander Fett and Pretty Playful Productions.
Since the summer 2022, she is member of the new generation of TanzKollektivBremen (TKB), a platform for contemporary dance and performance. In 2025/25 TKB was artist in residenca at Zentrum für Kunst Bremen.
She is currently establishing an artistic bridge between Barcelona/València and Bremen: In 2023, she collaborated with fine artist Jorge Julve on a long-distance experiment between body and image. The premiere of Flesh and Flowers took place in November 2024, a piece framed in a format where Neus becomes the curator of a team at the disposal of an idea, and therefore invited Laura Alcalà (La Súbita) to choreograph a piece for TKB.
Care, feminism and biography are often at the centre of her projects.
