Biography
Neus Ledesma Vidal (Barcelona, 1989*) works as a freelance performer and choreographer in Bremen (north Germany). She is interested in the body as a shapeshifter, storyteller and catalyst for critical thinking. Neus explores new movement narratives through the activation of other media such as text, images, sound or memories and likes to experiment with the space and distance between performance and audience. She often creates work through interdisciplinary collaborations and seeks for new spaces to host encounters and practice care within the local scene.
She studied at London Contemporary Dance School (BA Arts 2007-10) and finished an Arts Management Postgraduate in 2013 (Universitat Pompeu Fabra). She is currently studying a Master in Humanties at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya.
She lives in Bremen where she makes her own work and collaborates regularly with Birgit Freitag, Magali Sander Fett and Pretty Playful Productions. Since the summer 2022, she is member of the new generation of TanzKollektivBremen (TKB), a platform for contemporary dance and performance. In 2025/25 TKB was artist in residence at Zentrum für Kunst Bremen.
She is currently researching for her upcoming piece ‘This could be something’ (working title), a work that takes its inspiration from the concept of VORFREUDE (joyful anticipation) as a motor for movement but also for political change. Premiere is planned for autumn 2026.
